Overview
Aldehydes such as decanal (C-10), undecylenic (C-11) and lauric (C-12) aldehyde add a bright, waxy, citrus or soapy sparkle at tiny levels, famously in classic aldehydic perfumes.
They are supplied individually at high purity, often with an antioxidant, and must be protected from air.
