Overview
Isophorone dissolves vinyl, epoxy, polyester and many other resins and evaporates slowly, improving flow in baked coatings such as coil and can coatings. It is used in screen inks for PVC and as a solvent for pesticide formulations.
It is also an intermediate for isophorone diisocyanate and diamine.
