Overview
KOH saponifies fats into soft potassium soaps, the base of liquid soaps and shaving creams. It is the feedstock for potassium carbonate, phosphates and other salts, and the electrolyte in alkaline batteries.
It is supplied as flakes (≥ 90%) and as 45–50% solution.
