Overview
DEET repels mosquitoes, ticks, flies and other biting insects, and has been used for decades. It is formulated into lotions, sprays and roll-ons at concentrations typically from 10% to 30% or higher.
It is a colourless to pale yellow oily liquid supplied at ≥ 97% purity. Registration of repellent products is regulated in most markets.
