Overview
GMS is a common co-emulsifier that adds body and stability to creams and lotions. In foods (E471) it improves texture in bread, ice cream and margarine; in plastics it is an anti-static and anti-fog agent.
It is supplied as white flakes or powder, as self-emulsifying (SE) and non-SE grades.
