Overview
Selenium sulphide slows the turnover of scalp skin cells and controls the yeasts associated with dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis. It is used at about 1% in cosmetic and up to 2.5% in medicated shampoos, where permitted.
It is a bright orange powder supplied in pharmacopoeia grade.
