Overview
White oil is odourless, tasteless and chemically inert. It is an emollient in creams and lotions, the base of baby oils, a laxative and excipient in pharmaceuticals, and a release agent and lubricant in food and plastics.
Grades are classed by viscosity (light to heavy) and by purity: technical, cosmetic and pharmacopoeia/food grades.
